Mulholland and Mullins on a roll over the weekend

Neil Mulholland has his string in fine form presently, and notched up his third winner this month when completing a cross-card double on Saturday at Haydock and Warwick.

After crying out for rain to ease the ground after the driest April for years, the change in going tends to cause upsets. Haydock's mixed card of Flat and Jumps was run on heavy and soft ground respectively, but despite that, there were no great shocks. French-bred Exelerator Express won unhindered in the 0-130 handicap chase and looks to remain ahead of the handicapper. He's won three times since the turn of the year.

Meanwhile, a mares' novices chase at Warwick provided leg 2 of the double, with Sandymount Rose brushing off her two opponents to win by 15l in an uncompetitive three runner race. Her owners, the Proudley & Wymark Partnership won't mind that though.

Meanwhile, Seamus Mullins' did his Plumpton strike rate no harm with another winner yesterday at the Sussex course.Handicapper Tommie Beau's 12l win in the handicap hurdle maintained Seamus' great record around Plumpton where he must rank among the leading trainers.
